The Lighthouse is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing the highest possible quality of service. Who we are
We are The Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Architecture and Design. We are also known as the data controller. The Lighthouse is the renamed £13 million ($20 million) conversion of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 1895 Glasgow Herald newspaper office. The centre's vision is to develop the links between art, design and architecture, seeing these as interconnected social, educational, economic and cultural issues of concern to everyone. The Lighthouse website, is owned and operated by Us. Should you wish to access any information that we store about you, please write to us at the address published on our website.
Collection of Information from our Clients
In order to fulfill certain functions of the website (for example – for user registration or newsletter subscription), we need to know certain personal information about you. It is our policy that this information is private and confidential. Accordingly, the personal information you provide to us is stored in a secure location, and is accessible only by designated staff. It will be used only for the purposes for which you provide the information. We will not sell, rent or trade any personal information you provide to us.
Keeping you informed
We would like to tell you by e-mail or other electronic means about exhibitions, conferences, products and services etc which we believe would be of interest to you and which are offered by us and other selected companies. We will only send you such information if you have specifically "asked" to receive it. Should we send you any unwanted emails or other communication, please let us know and we will immediately remove your contact details from the associated list or database.

The Lighthouse makes use of internet browser cookies, which we use to identify you for login purposes.
