Design - A Basic Toolkit for Branding

This workshop is developed for anyone who has recently set up their own business and is looking to create a unique brand image for their print materials, or for those in established organisations looking to refresh their branded materials.
The workshop will give you an insight into:
- Examples of good and bad branded material
- How to design print when you are not a graphic designer – basic rules to follow
- How to incorporate photography, images and typography into your design
- How to interpret trends in design/fashion and build that into your work
- Examples of paper types
- Price ranges/job times for printing on particular papers
- What paper type suits what job best
- What to use for brand material e.g. business cards, leaflets, brochures...?
- Examples of printed material on different paper weights
You will also benefit from gaining valuable personalised advice and instruction
Workshop Facilitators
Suzanne Martin is a freelance designer who has a plethora of experience working with companies like Nord, Bastille, Urban Outfitters and Bute Fabrics as well as being a designer for Disney. Suzanne will incorporate her knowledge of illustration, marketing, branding, art direction and graphic design to provide you with the main bones of how to ensure your artwork is eye-catching and clear.
Yvonne Ward is an experienced account manager for Robert Horne, one of the UK's leading suppliers in paper. Yvonne will incorporate her experience and reveal to you the boundless options that exist when printing.
