WWW: Write Well on the Web

23 October 2008, 9.30am - 12.30pm followed by lunch and informal networking
Education Workshop, The Lighthouse, Glasgow
This workshop is for people who want to get a better understanding of concept and text development for web site pages. It will also help you improve your writing skills for the Internet.
It will give you an insight into the basics of a successful web site text.
You'll learn:
- How to avoid commonly made mistakes
- How to adopt a personal style that works
- How to structure longer and difficult texts
Plus:
- How to decide what goes where
- How to make your words stand out
We also pay attention to the reproduction of text on computer screens and web pages. You'll come away with new ideas and handouts, including a template for a web page.

The workshops are conducted by Dr Ben Braber, a copywriter and communication consultant at BBMC Goodword. Ben has more than 15 years of experience in writing for business, public sector and non-profit organisations.
