Creative Entrepreneur of the Year 2008
Previous winners of this award are; Camille Lorigo (pictured right with Jurgen Bey), Leightweight Medical/Element 06 and Peter Inglis, who have embraced this award and progressed on to even bigger and better things.
Our jury seems to have a good eye for spotting the next best thing, and with three out of three proving just that, it's time to find the next one!
This year Michael Marriott will present the award at The Lighthouse on Thursday 13 November 2008. Having his fingers in both pots (product design and exhibition curator) Michael is a true classic who, to this day, holds a firm belief in designing 'truly modern classics' and incorporates all types of mediums to produce classic, yet quirky, design gems. He celebrates true creativity and for that reason, is a perfect guest speaker for this event.
The Creative Entrepreneur of the Year award recognises a genuine combination of creative excellence and commercial success and is open to all members of the Creative Entrepreneurs Club (all levels including those who are registered only to receive email updates).
Each member of the CEC is invited to nominate either themselves or one of their management team for the title Creative Entrepreneur of the Year 2008. The award will be presented to the person(s) whose work consistently demonstrated a high level of creativity and originality aligned with commercial achievement in the last twelve months of trading.
Judges who will nominate the winner are: Andrew Burrell (Managing Director, The Burrell Company), Stacey Hunter (Manager, Six Cities Design Festival @ The Lighthouse) and Doug Pritchard (Head of Visualisation, Glasgow School of Art).
The winner will receive an imac, sponsored by Scotsys, and title of Creative Entrepreneur of the Year 2008.
